Short answer
Yes, on web hosting, reseller hosting and corporate hosting: automated daily backups are included at no extra cost. VPS and dedicated servers are not backed up by default; add backups at checkout, or run your own.
What’s backed up
| Service | Backups |
|---|---|
| Web, WordPress and cloud hosting | Daily, automated, included |
| Reseller and master reseller hosting | Daily, automated, included |
| Corporate hosting | Daily, automated, included |
| VPS | Not included; add at checkout |
| Dedicated servers (VDS) | Not included; add at checkout |
On hosting plans the backup covers your files, databases and email.
How to get a file or site back
- Ask our team: open a ticket or live chat, say what you need restored (a file, a database, the whole site) and from which day. We restore it for you.
- Do it yourself: cPanel’s backup tools let you download a full copy of your account, or just a database, whenever you want.
Keep your own copy too
Our backups protect you if something goes wrong on the server or you delete something by mistake. For important sites, also keep a copy somewhere else (the 3-2-1 rule: 3 copies, on 2 kinds of storage, 1 off-site):
- Download a full cPanel backup once a month, or before big changes.
- On WordPress, a backup plugin can send copies to cloud storage.
- For larger data, a storage box is cheap off-site space.
VPS and dedicated servers
A VPS or VDS is your own server, so backups are your choice. Add backups when you order, or set up your own (for example a nightly copy to a storage box). Take a snapshot before upgrades. See VPS hosting or, if you’d rather we handle it, managed VPS.
